Expected incidence rate

Discovery uses Net Effective Incidence defined as the percentage occurrence of individuals, households or businesses, et cetera. that exist in the sample who are qualified to participate in the study based on the screening criteria. For example, percent of individuals using a specific product, registered to vote, percent of households in income category, percent of businesses with a certain number of employees, etc. Net effective incidence includes over-quotas in the incidence formula.

Screening criteria

The interviewing process of determining whether a potential respondent qualifies or meets the requirements of participation in the study i.e. past participation, must be a customer, registered to vote, et cetera.
