Discovery Research Group's CommunityXploration product provides an online consumer insights platform that allows you to control the research experience and interact directly with consumers interested in your brands or products.
What's an online community and how does it differ from a panel or respondent database?
- An online community or "MROC" is a group of people with a similar interest that have been brought together for the purposes of social interaction based qualitative, and sometimes quantitative market research.
- Panels or respondent databases are lists of people who may or may not have a similar interest that are used for market research but rarely interact with one another.
The key element is the consumer interaction. Online communities encourage interaction with multiple elements of the research including, the researcher, other participants, the platform, the products, the brand, etc. By taking advantage of online, ongoing access, and the research platforms ability to support video, audio, and picture uploads, direct unstructured communication with the consumer, surveys, social media like interaction, etc. companies will have a robust method of gathering business insights in quick...or longitudinal ways.
Why an online community?
